Table Scraps 32: Wrasslin' by Avalon Hill

This is a new video I made. It's a sort of review of what's in the box for Avalon Hill's "Wrasslin'" bookcase pro wrestling game from 1990 - sorta like an unboxing but it was already unboxed before this!

Daniel Bryan WWE Wrestler

I sort of missed his debut and arrival but really liked the little bit I saw of Daniel Bryan before he got taken out of the scene. YES! Did you fear the beard? Or was it an endeared beard?

DeviantArt Search for Pro Wrestling (Odd Offerings)

Sometimes you are interested in a topic or hobby. I like pro wrestling, or "rasslin'" as some people call it, though not nearly as much now as I used to be. But anyway, you look for instances of it, creative ideas about it, just about anywhere. So I decided to see how other fans interpret or include professional wrestling in their own interests and artistic projects... what better place than DeviantArt to see his this plays out in reality? Maybe much better places - maybe any place. Search for "pro wrestling" on DeviantArt at your own mental peril, fans.

The Sorting Hat and Randy Orton - Slytherin

A bit of wrestling humor, no incentive for RPG stuff at the moment, bad financial situation is taking most of my deep creativity away from me.

Top 36 DeviantArt Search Images for "Wrestling"

Well, I was uploading something to Deviant Art, and being a wrestling fan, I thought I'd look and see if there were any interesting wrestling-related images up. Now I make wrestling images too, so I've seen a few odd ones over the years, but had never just sat down and typed "wrestling" and looked at what the DeviantArt search brought back. Hoo boy.

Although it will disappoint some, I'm omitting the multitudinous lascivious photos, black and white sketches, lineart, CGI art and other images depicting women "wrestling" in the same way OJ Simpson looked for the real killers. I'm not positive, but I'm fairly sure there is no such thing as the "High Heels Wrestling Federation", nor the "Global Oil and Mud Alliance". Likewise, I am omitting most fan art of real wrestlers, as most are passable or at least nothing stands out as incredibly postable, except a few that are actually quite good, and I'll include one or two. Lastly, I'm leaving out the images that go one step beyond the "sexy wrestling" and into brain-bleach territory, with furry cow wrestling in a lactation match and things like that - I just... I'm going to attempt to keep this article somewhat family, or at least human, friendly.

Table Scraps: WWF Wrestling Stars Game Review

This Table Scraps is a retrospective look back and review of the 1985 board game, WWF Wrestling Stars Game, before they were even called Superstars, from the Hulk Hogan era, or heyday and genesis of professional wrestling's soaring popularity in the mainstream. Unlike most of the other Abstruse Decapod videos, this actually has live camera video, rather than screen capture, as we rummage through what is left of this board game from over 20 years ago.

As a special bonus, various images, including the board, rules, all the wrestler cards and stand-up pawn miniatures with full body photos of the wrestlers, are all available for free download as an historical curiosity of trivia, for those interested in seeing a genuine relic from the hazy past of pro wrestling, the WWF and board games.

RPG Debris - Tabletop Trash or Treasure: Pro Power Championship Wrestling

RPG Debris
Tabletop Trash or Treasure:
Pro Power Championship Wrestling
(c) 1994 Pro Action Sports Entertainment

The year was 1994. Although a runaway planet didn't hurtle between the earth and the moon, unleashing cosmic destruction, I did get duped into paying money for a really crappy dice wrestling game that was apparently created by a junior high kid with a Rob Liefeld mancrush. This is my story.

Video Review - RPG Debris: Tabletop Trash or Treasure: SIMCO Wrestling

SIMCO Wrestling

Professional Wrestling Statistics Dice Game

"Simco"?

What game recaptures the magic of Saturday night wrestling events from the 80's with dice and statted out wrestlers? I don't know, but if you figure it out, tell me. Until then, here's my review of SIMCO Wrestling.
